Brief Biography

Rajesh Kumar R is the current CIO of LTIMindtree (now LTM) and a 30-year IT industry veteran. He began his career in 1995 as an engineer at ABB and rose through senior technical roles before joining the erstwhile Mindtree, where he led the Products Engineering Group, focusing on developing IPs to enable platform-driven services. He then headed delivery for the Retail & CPG vertical and led the Automation group at Mindtree. Since 2022, he has served as CIO of LTIMindtree, a role in which he swiftly unified LTI and Mindtree’s core IT systems within five months. He established a five-pillar digital foundation that modernized operations across the merged enterprise. He spearheaded a Gen AI transformation via a three-tier strategy, launching an internal “Customer Zero” program and deploying domain-specific AI agents to embed AI across the organization, driving widespread innovation.

Achievements

Spearheaded the merger of LTI and Mindtree’s IT systems in five months, unifying critical platforms with zero disruption. Pioneered an "AI in Everything, AI for Everyone" initiative, deploying generative AI through a three-tier strategy to drive innovation. Modernized the digital workplace for nearly 90,000 employees across 100+ offices. Earned Cisco’s CX Visionary Award, named CII’s CIO of the Year 2024, named UBS Forums’ CIO of the year 2025
