Brief Biography
Waqas Ahmed is a seasoned IT executive with a distinguished career in leadership role as a CIO and CTO in the manufacturing, retail industries and IT consulting. He holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology. Waqas began the career at Ernst & Young (EY) as an IT Engineer then he rose to Senior Manager in IT Consulting & Information Security domains. He then moves to country’s biggest gas transmission and distribution company and was looking after the IT risk and compliance. As a CTO in one of the biggest retail group and CIO of Feroze1888 Mills Limited, one of the biggest exporter of textile goods and leading vertically integrated company, he led digital transformation initiatives that integrated advanced technologies, improved operational efficiency, and enhanced cybersecurity.

As CIO of a large textile manufacturing setup, led a digital transformation, integrating IoT and ERP (SAP) systems, boosting efficiency and reducing downtime.
