Hegde Subbarao

Hegde Subbarao is a visionary CIO/CTO with over 30+ years of experience driving digital transformation across FMCG, infrastructure, non-profit, and AgriTech sectors. He is known for building secure, scalable IT ecosystems and delivering business value through innovation and simplicity.
He began his career in IT infrastructure and became CIO at GCMMF (Amul), leading “Cattle-to-Consumer” supply chain digitization. He later served as CTO at GMR Group and the Deshpande Foundation, driving enterprise automation and rural transformation initiatives.
Currently, as Director & CTO of dFarm India, he is building a SaaS  based AIMS™ platform connecting the agri ecosystem from Farm-to-Fork, enhancing transparency, efficiency, and traceability, reducing waste, and improving farmer livelihoods while delivering fresher, high-quality agri produce.
Hegde Subbarao has received over 25 national and international awards, including the International CIO 100 Award, recognizing the Top 100 most resourceful organizations worldwide, issued by IDG's CIO Magazine, USA, in August 2003.
