Join the Project of the Year competition

On September 7, the international IT community, Global CIO, officially opened applications for the annual “Project of the Year” contest, where IT leaders from around the globe showcase their best IT projects.

The “Project of the Year” provides a valuable platform for IT leaders to showcase their achievements, share experiences, and gain recognition from their peers. Participation is free, with the primary goal being to identify, consolidate, and promote best practices within the global IT community.

One unique aspect of the contest is its project evaluation methodology, which was developed by experts. It includes both online voting by professional community members and a comprehensive assessment of the project's scope and significance. With no jury involved and a balanced evaluation process, the selection of winners remains as objective as possible.

The “Project of the Year” is more than just a contest — it's an opportunity to exchange knowledge and foster growth within the entire IT industry. In previous years projects from 60 countries participated, with nearly 5000 top IT managers voting on and discussing the effectiveness of the submitted solutions. High-quality feedback and support from peers serve as strong motivation for improvement and lay the groundwork for future victories.

Who can nominate a project for the contest:

●     The CIO or business unit manager personally.

●     IT service providers with the confirmation of the Head of the business unit by the customer.

Important!

●     Projects that are not properly confirmed are not allowed to participate in the contest.

●     Software products, solutions that are not implemented by an external customer and not confirmed by its manager are not allowed to participate in the contest.

●     It is possible to submit several projects in different nominations, but each project participates only in one nomination.

Criteria for selecting projects for the contest:

●     The project or part of a business project must have specific goals and objectives;

●     The stated goals of the project or part of a large business project must be achieved between October 1, 2025 and November 1, 2026 (the duration of the project may not be limited to this period);

●     The project must have an implementation outcome. Projects that have not been implemented at the declared end customer will not be accepted (e.g. unimplemented software products).

●     The organising committee reserves the right to move projects from one category to another for better thematic presentation of projects and adequate competition.
