CORTEX-Powering the Core of Textile Excellence

Project CORTEX - Powering the Core of Textile Excellence is Artistic Milliners enterprise-wide digital transformation program, designed to create a connected, AI-enabled and data-driven digital backbone for a complex, vertically integrated textile and apparel business spanning Pakistan and the Western Hemisphere.

The program is transforming a decade old Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) landscape into a unified, cloud based ecosystem for complex, multi-company and multi-location environment powered by Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, SCM, HCM, Product Management, Plant Maintenance, Manufacturing, analytics, automation, and AI-driven capabilities.

From an operational perspective, integrated SCM, Manufacturing, Plant Maintenance, Inventory and Product Management capabilities provide improved visibility into materials, inventory, equipment and production processes. This creates the digital foundation for better resource utilization, optimized inventory levels, reduced process waste and more effective preventive maintenance.

CORTEX also strengthens the organization's ability to capture, govern and analyze sustainability-related data across companies, manufacturing locations and geographies. Integrated data, analytics and AI capabilities can increasingly support management in identifying inefficiencies, monitoring resource consumption and incorporating sustainability considerations into operational decision-making.

The project involves simultaneous transformation of technology, processes, data, and security across verticals includes Spinning, Denim Fabric Manufacturing, Piece Dyed Processing and Apparel biz. Major complexities include migration from a long-running legacy ERP environment, harmonization of historical master and transactional data, redesign of financial controls, role and data-access configuration, integration with existing enterprise systems, deployment of cloud reporting, and preparation for business cutover.

Additional complexity comes from introducing enterprise AI agents alongside the ERP implementation. These agents require secure data access, role segregation, API integration, workflow design, prompt engineering, validation against live business data and controlled deployment. The program therefore combines ERP implementation, data migration, cloud architecture, AI enablement, integration, reporting, governance and organizational change within a single transformation roadmap.

The project represents an enterprise-wide transition from a long-established legacy ERP environment to Oracle Fusion Cloud, accompanied by the introduction of intelligent automation and AI-enabled business processes.

The transformation covers major Finance functions including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and Cash Management, together with Procurement, Supply Chain and supporting business processes.

A major focus of the program is moving beyond a traditional ERP implementation. AI-powered capabilities are being embedded into the operating model through Oracle AI Agent Studio. Seeded and custom agents are being evaluated and enabled for areas such as customer billing inquiries, cash processing, receipts analysis, cash monitoring, invoice automation and management analytics.

The solution is being implemented across the organization's business operations and 22 operating units in Pakistan, Mexico and United Arab Emirates.
