Goals

The project aims to create a unified system for operational accounting and management of cattle production across several farms and to transition the processes of several livestock complexes to centralized digital management.

The project’s objectives are: daily planning, assignment, and monitoring of veterinary, zootechnical, and production activities for dairy and beef herds numbering more than 10,000 head; generating detailed analytics for operational management decisions; unifying business processes and aligning farm‑level accounting with the enterprise’s regulated accounting; complying with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, including animal identification and traceability.

The target state is the industrial operation of a system in which livestock movement, treatment, milk quality, shipment, and product sales are recorded according to uniform rules and monitored at the enterprise level.

Project Results

The project was completed on time and put into commercial operation. The enterprises maintain operational accounting of cattle within a single system linked to the agricultural enterprise’s accounting department and to the AITS traceability system.

Identification accounting of the livestock, regulated printed forms, calculation based on the value‑added tax rates of the Republic of Belarus, as well as monitoring of treatment, milk quality, movements, shipments, and sales are provided. Management has access to monitoring of the herd structure, reproduction, culling, and milk quality by farm. The shipment to meat processing reflects the rejected part of the carcass; the sale of livestock products is carried out in accordance with contracts with counterparties.

The staff has been trained during joint trial operation. The first line of technical support is provided by the customer’s specialists. The system is used as a working tool for daily production management.

The uniqueness of the project

The uniqueness of the project lies in the localization of the Russian industry‑specific solution “1C: Digital Livestock Farming” in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus and for the accounting of enterprises within the system of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

The enterprise has developed its own documents and printed forms. Activities involving animals from different areas of the farm are documented in a single document; when shipping to meat processing plants, the rejected part of the carcass is taken into account; treatment records are entered according to a scheme and schedule; veterinary documents are linked to zootechnical documents.

The solution was selected through a tender, has compatibility confirmation, and is included in the registers. The basic functionality works without an annual subscription fee; new costs arise when expanding licenses for the livestock or when developing forms and reports.

Used software

The software core is “1C:Digital Animal Husbandry. Operational accounting and production management. Cattle” on the “1C:Enterprise” platform.

Regulated accounting is “1C:Accounting for an agricultural enterprise for Belarus” with organized data exchange.

Traceability is ensured by the national automated information system for the identification, registration, and traceability of animals and animal‑derived products (AITS). Livestock is recorded using identification numbers.

The system includes regulated printed forms in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, calculations based on national value‑added tax rates, and indicators for assessing milk quality.

Technical part: integration with farm equipment, supply and configuration of additional equipment, installation of workstations. Implementation partner — the State Institution “Main Economic Directorate” of the Office of the President of the Republic of Belarus (66048-BL). Contractor — LLC “CONCEPT” (48741-68)

Difficulty of implementation

The difficulty is related to the number of more than 25,000 heads on several isolated farms and the adaptation of the industry solution to the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, the accounting policy of the customer and the current livestock technology.

Animal identification was maintained in the AITS system, and national value-added tax rates were applied. The structure of accounting data and exchange with 1C:The accounting department of an agricultural enterprise for Belarus was finalized already during the implementation.

The same framework included milk quality, all stages of treatment, the connection between veterinary medicine and animal husbandry, shipment taking into account the rejected part of the carcass, as well as the integration of existing farm equipment and the introduction of additional equipment.

Project Description

Several agricultural enterprises within the system of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus have implemented the operational framework “1C:Digital Livestock Farming. Operational accounting and production management. Cattle”. By the start of operations, the dairy and beef herds exceeded 25,000 head and were kept on several separate farms. A wide range of veterinary, zootechnical, and production activities were carried out daily by a large number of employees. There was no single tool for planning and monitoring these activities, and the available data did not provide management with the necessary level of detail for making operational decisions.

The contractor was selected based on the results of the tender. The basis was the “1C:Enterprise” platform and an industry‑specific solution for cattle. In addition to launching the standard functionality, the scope included special documents and forms, adaptation to the legislation of the Republic of Belarus in the field of animal husbandry, integration with farm equipment, selection, supply and configuration of additional technical equipment.

The preparatory stage included collecting initial data, studying the company’s structure and interviewing the responsible employees. Based on its results, a work plan and phased deadlines were prepared. The customer’s specialists provided consultations to the contractors, monitored the project progress, and completed tasks that required constant presence at the sites: installation and configuration of workstations, methodological setup of integration with the accounting department, training of the team, and organization of the first‑line support.

The functionality was adapted in four areas. To comply with the legislation, data exchange was organized with “1C:Accounting for an Agricultural Enterprise for Belarus”, animal registration in the national AITS system, and application of value‑added tax rates of the Republic of Belarus. For veterinary and zootechnical purposes, milk quality indicators have been set up, management of all treatment stages has been implemented, and the interconnection of relevant documents has been established. For accounting and finished products, the data structure has been modified to meet the customer’s requirements, accounting for the rejected part of the carcass during shipment has been implemented, and accounting for the sale of livestock products has been set up. For management purposes, monitoring of the farm’s condition based on key indicators has been organized.

Printed forms have been set up, including the filling in of responsible persons by position, and control of animal groups during movements has been implemented.

After bringing the forms, documents, and details into the agreed format, joint testing and debugging were carried out. The company’s employees mastered the system and submitted comments for prompt adjustments. The project was completed on time and accepted for commercial operation.
