- Goals
-
The objective of this project is to extract relevant sales, receivables, and inventory data from SAP and present it through a centralized, user-friendly dashboard. The solution will provide division-wise sales performance, outstanding balances, invoice ageing, and fast-moving and slow-moving item analysis to support better business decisions and operational efficiency.
- Project Results
-
The project has significantly improved the efficiency and accessibility of business reporting. Earlier, generating and consolidating the required SAP reports took at least 10–15 minutes every week and involved dependency on backend users for information retrieval. With the implementation of this solution, reports and detailed information are now readily available at users' fingertips, eliminating repeated backend requests and manual report preparation. Approximately 10–15 stakeholders benefit from direct access to division-wise sales, outstanding balances, customer details, invoice ageing, and inventory movement reports. The invoice-level drill-down, email reminder facility, and fast-moving/slow-moving item analysis have streamlined financial monitoring, payment follow-ups, and inventory tracking. The solution saves at least 10–15 minutes per weekly reporting cycle, reduces operational dependency, and enables faster, informed business decisions.
The uniqueness of the project
The uniqueness of this project lies in integrating division-wise sales, customer outstanding, invoice ageing, automated email reminders, and fast-moving/slow-moving inventory analysis into a single, user-friendly dashboard. Users can drill down from division-level summaries to customer names and individual invoice details through interactive icons without logging into SAP. The solution reduces dependency on manual reporting, simplifies payment follow-ups, improves visibility into overdue receivables, and helps identify high-demand, slow-moving, and non-moving items. By combining financial and inventory insights in one platform, the project enables faster decision-making, better inventory planning, improved collection efficiency, and enhanced operational control.

- Difficulty of implementation
-
The implementation complexity is moderate, involving SAP data extraction, data integration, dashboard development, and automated reporting. The solution requires integration with SAP sales, customer, invoice, outstanding, and inventory data, along with defined business rules for invoice ageing and fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-moving item classification. Additional development is required for interactive drill-down from division-level summaries to customer and invoice details, without requiring users to log in to SAP, and for email reminder functionality. Proper data validation, access control, security, and scheduled data refresh mechanisms will be essential to ensure reliable reporting and smooth operation.
