  • Project implementation complexity

The implementation was complex because it involved multiple connected workstreams across cloud migration, AI enablement, analytics, and financial consolidation. The project covered 12 company codes, requiring careful planning, data validation, system integration, user coordination, and strong governance. Moving the core ERP environment to SAP S/4HANA RISE Cloud required business continuity, minimum disruption, and close alignment between SAP, implementation partners, IT, finance, and business teams. In parallel, SAP Joule, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP Group Reporting had to be configured to support real business needs. The team also had to manage change adoption, user training, dashboard design, consolidation rules, and inter-company eliminations. Despite these challenges, the project was completed as a coordinated transformation program, ensuring stable operations, better visibility, and a strong foundation for future innovation.

  • Description

Before the project, Thal Limited was operating on a traditional ERP setup with growing needs for scalability, faster reporting, stronger business continuity, and better visibility across group companies. Financial consolidation and management reporting involved manual effort, multiple data sources, and delayed visibility, making it harder for leadership to take quick decisions.

To address this, Thal Limited migrated its core ERP to SAP S/4HANA RISE Cloud and implemented SAP Joule, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP Group Reporting. The project covered 12 company codes and connected cloud ERP, AI-assisted user interaction, executive dashboards, and automated financial consolidation into one modern platform.

The implementation required close coordination between IT, finance, business users, SAP, and implementation partners. Key focus areas included data validation, system integration, change management, dashboard design, consolidation rules, and user adoption. The challenging part was managing multiple transformation streams together while ensuring business continuity.

After implementation, business users gained faster access to information, leadership received real-time dashboards, and finance teams reduced manual consolidation effort. The organization now has stronger governance, quicker reporting, improved decision-making, and a future-ready digital foundation for further innovation.

  • Project geography

The project was implemented in Pakistan for Thal Limited and covered group-wide business operations across 12 company codes. It connected multiple business units and locations through a common SAP S/4HANA RISE Cloud platform, supported by SAP Joule, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP Group Reporting. Although the execution was led locally, the solution followed global SAP standards and cloud best practices, creating a scalable and future-ready digital environment. The project helped standardize processes, improve visibility, and enable consistent reporting across the organization. By bringing different entities onto one integrated platform, Thal Limited strengthened collaboration, governance, and decision-making across its operating geography.
