What Gartner says becomes the law. The new Magic Quadrant for Analytics and Business Intelligence Platforms 2023 confirmed the leadership of Microsoft, Qlik and Salesforce (Tableau) in analytics area, but also allowed us to preview the future of the technology. Don’t miss these vendors even if you think you are well aware of them - SAP, ThoughtSpot, Oracle, Pyramid Analytics, Tellius, Sisense, IBM, SAS, TIBCO.

Gartner also issued its annual list of top data and analytics trends structured into three broad themes. Gartner analysts suggest we should think like a business, move from platforms to ecosystems and should not forget the humans. “These trends must be fundamental to the way organizations approach their D&A strategy and that team’s relationship with other cross-enterprise stakeholders,” says Gartner VP Analyst Gareth Herschel.

Italy has become the first country ever to ban ChatGPT, the artificial intelligence tool. The Italian Data Protection authority ordered OpenAI to temporarily cease processing Italian users’ data due to a suspected breach of European privacy regulations. The regulator Garante cited a data breach at OpenAI which allowed users to view the titles of conversations other users were having with the chatbot.

From revolutionizing HR with automated recruitment to aiding early disease detection in healthcare, AI's impact is profound.
