The primary goal of this project is to implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365) for U&I Garments (Private) Limited across multiple business entities. The implementation aims to streamline and integrate various business processes including product information management, procurement and sourcing, inventory management, sales order management, retail operations, e-commerce integration, advanced warehouse management, human resource management, payroll, project management, production, and financials. The project is divided into phases to ensure a smooth transition and effective post-go-live support.

Additionally, the project employs a “train the trainer” approach for user training and a “big bang” go-live strategy for simultaneous deployment across all stores and entities.

Project Description

The project involves the implementation of D365 across various modules and business entities of U&I Garments. Key modules include:

  • Product Information Management: Managing finished goods and raw materials, item categories, and price mechanisms.
  • Procurement and Sourcing: Vendor creation, purchase order management, and procurement workflows.
  • Inventory Management: Tracking inventory at site, warehouse, and location levels, managing stock transfers, and conducting stock audits.
  • Sales Order Management: Handling trade agreements, sales orders, invoicing, and returns.
  • Retail Operations: Store profiling, product assortment, promotional discounts, and POS functionalities.
  • E-commerce Integration: Syncing product data, inventory visibility, customer data management, and sales order synchronization with Shopify and Magento.
  • Advanced Warehouse Management: Managing warehouse zones, location stocking limits, inbound and outbound operations, and quality management.
  • Human Resource Management: Employee information, attendance, payroll, and talent management.
  • Project Management & Accounting: Managing new location construction/renovation projects, project cost categories, and budget workflows.
  • Production Management: Implementing end-to-end production processes for Al-Tayyab, including formula management, route management, and production execution.
  • Financials: General ledger, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets management, budget control, and financial reporting.

The implementation follows a phased approach with detailed planning, design, development, deployment, and operational support. The project also includes extensive training for power users and end-users to ensure effective utilization of the system.

Project geography

The project covers both local and international business entities of U&I Garments. The implementation includes:

  • Local retail businesses (Junaid Jamshed and Almirah) with a focus on retail operations, supply chain, e-commerce integration, financials, and advanced warehouse management
  • International rollout for Junaid Jamshed International, replicating the solution implemented locally with necessary localization for the specific country
  • Production business for U&I and Al-Tayyab, covering supply chain, human resource, payroll, financials, and production management

The project ensures a unified and integrated system across all geographical locations, enhancing operational efficiency and data visibility.
