- Project Description
-
The company "Oiltech Service" LLC is the largest importer of petroleum products from Russia. At the start of the project, the client’s company was newly established and thus operated without structured software, relying on manual methods and unorganized processes. The need for automation and optimization of business processes was evident, given the increasing volume of operations and the complexity of accounting and tax management in the industry.
The absence of implemented software created significant obstacles to efficient data management, financial flow monitoring, data analysis, and compliance with tax regulations.
While the client had a high-level understanding of their business processes, this provided a basic foundation for the project but required further detailing and structuring of these processes to successfully implement the software.
Given the tight deadlines, the differences in legislation between Russia and Uzbekistan, and the challenges of procuring Russian software, the team from "First Bit" needed to implement the software, input key master data, and configure the necessary business processes and integrations.Project architecture:The entry of key data related to petroleum product trading is carried out in the "1C: Complex Automation" database. In 1C: Complex Automation, standard functionality is used for procurement management, import operations, warehouse accounting, pricing, sales, and other modules.
Localization of 1C: Complex Automation for Uzbekistan was completed, with enhancements made to the master data functionality for Contractors, Banks, Exchange Rates, etc. The functionality for regulated accounting in 1C: Complex Automation is not used due to significant differences in Uzbekistan’s regulatory framework.
Petroleum trading operations are transferred from 1C: Complex Automation to 1C: Accounting (localized for Uzbekistan) via standard exchange mechanisms, where they are reflected in the relevant data objects, and bookkeeping entries are made in 1C: Accounting according to local legislation.
The standard exchange mechanism between 1C: Complex Automation and 1C: Accounting (Uzbekistan) was customized for certain system objects, depending on which of the two systems is the primary point of data entry. For example, bank statements are entered in 1C: Accounting, as it includes integration mechanisms with local banks, which 1C: Complex Automation lacks.
The electronic document management functionality is also activated in 1C: Accounting, which has built-in mechanisms for integration with the local electronic document exchange service provider, DiDox.
Thus, key management information is entered in 1C: Complex Automation, automatically transferred to 1C: Accounting, and exchanged electronically with Uzbek counterparties. In the opposite direction, information related to the processing of bank payments is sent from 1C: Accounting to 1C: Complex Automation, ensuring that 1C: Complex Automation users have up-to-date information on settlements with counterparties.
