Goals
The project basically aims to develop a comprehensive shipyard management system. In line with this goal, modules that automate and facilitate purchasing, warehouse management and quality assurance processes were first developed. The main points focused on in the project we present to you are to increase efficiency and traceability from the order of materials needed in production to payment tracking, from warehouse management to the quality control process of products used in yachts.
With the developed application,
  • Material requests,
  • Purchasing,
  • Logistics,
  • Material deliveries,
  • Payment tracking,
  • Warehouse management,
processes are started;
It is aimed to improve operational transparency and process tracking by automating the tracking of materials throughout the workflow.

The aim is to make the company more agile by eliminating paper-based approval processes with the digitalization of approval mechanisms.

As a result, the application;
  • Facilitating the distribution of tasks and task tracking of employees,
  • Allowing for digital tracking of materials from their entry into the shipyard to the moment they are used in production,
  • Ensuring digital tracking of supplier payments and approvals,
  • Ensuring instant control of quality control processes in production sites,
As a result,

it is aimed to better manage the organization's resources, increase production efficiency, encourage a culture of accountability with healthy reporting to be made thanks to data-driven process management, and effectively plan process improvements.

Project Results
We have implemented three core business solutions: warehouse management, procurement, and quality control, all actively in use. These initiatives have substantially improved workflows and communication across departments. Early metrics show a 33% reduction in remark response times compared to last year, along with a 45% improvement in response rates and a 57% decrease in overdue remark responses.

Feedback from stakeholders highlights a positive reception of the digital tools, confirming the project’s effectiveness in real-world applications. This validation reinforces our bottom-up approach, utilizing insights from daily operations to inform developments. The integration of automated processes has streamlined operations and fostered a culture of accountability. Stakeholders benefit from enhanced data tracking and reporting, enabling swift, informed decision-making. As we refine our solutions, the impact of these improvements will further establish our commitment to quality and client satisfaction.

The uniqueness of the project

While automation systems are not new, the shipbuilding industry has seen relatively few players. What sets our project apart is the development of an overall quality management system, tailored to our company's specific needs and workflows. This bespoke approach is rare in the industry and positions us to leverage automation to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Rather than gathering industry experts to develop a tool based on their experiences, we shape our solution daily, directly from the shipyard. This enables us to analyze even the smallest details, translating insights into effective problem-solving strategies for mid to large-scale shipbuilders in the region. Surface-level issues may differ, but fundamental challenges often follow similar patterns encountered across the industry. By employing a bottom-up approach, we offer a genuine tailor-made solution that meets current and future needs.

Difficulty of implementation
The initial challenge involved analyzing processes and consolidating scattered data and parallel workflows to improve and enhance operations. Changing the working habits of stakeholders proved difficult, especially in a busy shipyard with ongoing projects. Transitioning to a data-driven approach required patience and persistence as we navigated through established routines.
As we sought to implement the new quality control management system, it was crucial to minimize disruptions to physical operations. The need to integrate this system while maintaining production was paramount, ensuring that day-to-day activities continued without interruption. Initial resistance from some stakeholders highlighted the importance of management support in facilitating this transition. However, as teams adapted and embraced the digital solutions, we observed a growing openness to the new processes, paving the way for enhanced collaboration and efficiency.

Project Description
The Overall Shipyard Management platform aims to systematically enhance our operational processes and address specific challenges within our shipyard. By automating our quality control procedures, we have developed a comprehensive system that not only streamlines daily tasks but also ensures effective tracking and management of materials throughout their lifecycle.
The project focuses on optimizing the integration of warehouse management and procurement processes, ensuring that materials ordered are efficiently tracked from the moment they are received until they are utilized in production. We tackled the issue of data accessibility by digitizing approval mechanisms, eliminating reliance on paper-based processes, which has significantly expedited decision-making. As a result, we have decreased the remark response time by 33 percent compared to last year, improved response rates by 45 percent, and reduced overdue remark responses by 57 percent compared to previous years.

By allowing decision-makers to access all relevant data digitally, the platform fosters a culture of accountability and transparency. This not only improves the efficiency of our operations but also enhances the traceability of materials, enabling stakeholders to manage inventory levels accurately without physically visiting the warehouse. As a result, we can determine the precise quantities needed at the time of ordering, leading to more informed purchasing decisions.

Throughout this initiative, we have observed substantial gains in operational efficiency. The ability to analyze real-time data has empowered us to identify inefficiencies and address them proactively, reducing delays and improving overall productivity. Additionally, our project promotes a systematic approach to quality assurance by integrating automated workflows that minimize human error and enhance compliance with industry standards.

The key benefits of implementing the Overall Quality Management platform include:
  • Effective Decision-Making: Stakeholders can make informed decisions based on accessible data, free from the constraints of physical paperwork.
  • Enhanced Traceability: The system allows for comprehensive oversight of material availability, enabling accurate assessments of resource needs without the need for on-site checks.
  • Streamlined Processes: Automated workflows facilitate faster approvals and monitoring of quality control measures, ensuring that all departments work collaboratively towards common goals.
  • By aligning our quality management practices with the strategic objectives of our shipyard, we position ourselves to respond swiftly to market demands and enhance our competitive edge. Ultimately, this project is not just about implementing a management system; it represents our commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence within the shipbuilding industry.

Project geography
The project operates without regional constraints, allowing us to target mid to large-scale shipyards globally. However, our roots in Türkiye provide a strategic advantage, particularly within the Mediterranean, Adriatic, and Northern European regions. These areas are known for their vibrant maritime industries, including shipbuilding, refit centers, and yacht construction. By leveraging our expertise and innovative solutions, we aim to establish strong partnerships with shipyards in these key markets, addressing their unique challenges and enhancing operational efficiency. Our goal is to facilitate the digital transformation of these facilities, ensuring they remain competitive in an evolving industry landscape.
