- Project timeline
- March, 2025 - October, 2025
- Project scope
- 20000 man-hours
- Goals
-
The project required ensuring:
- A flexible and fault-tolerant infrastructure with a guaranteed high level of availability and security;
- Reliable hosting and uninterrupted website operation under peak traffic conditions;
- High website throughput of up to 35,000 RPS;
- Website information security; protection from DDoS attacks and other malicious activities.
- Project Results
-
- Hosting the forum website in the provider's fault-tolerant Cloud ensured reliable support for the event: the website was continuously accessible to users from all over the world and from all devices, and was not compromised.
- The website's throughput under peak loads exceeded 50,000 requests per second, surpassing the performance requirements initially stated by the Client (VTB Bank).
- The implementation of enhanced security measures and a Situation Center ensured flawless quality of online broadcasts without failures or delays.
The uniqueness of the project
The project stands out for its exceptional resilience to extremely high loads, handling up to 30,000 requests per second in real-time. The system is optimized for mission-critical business processes, utilizes modern scalability and fault-tolerance solutions, and has successfully passed load testing, proving its superiority over standard industry solutions. The implementation includes integration with a CDN and DDoS protection technologies, guaranteeing uninterrupted operation during peak activity.- Used software
- PostgreSQL, React, .Net Core, Nginx, Qrator, CDN.
- Difficulty of implementation
- The project implementation was associated with high technical and organizational complexity. It was necessary to ensure stable system operation under extreme loads — up to 30,000 concurrent requests per second — which required the team to have deep expertise in high-load software, microservices architecture, and scalable cloud solutions. The implementation of modern load balancing technologies, database optimization, and integration with DDoS protection systems required comprehensive load and stress testing, creating backup strategies, and automated monitoring. The task of coordinating development, QA, and operations teams under conditions of high business responsibility and tight deadlines was a significant challenge and was overcome thanks to professionalism and the use of agile project management methodologies.
- Project Description
-
"Russia Calling!" is the largest international investment forum held in Russia. Its key task is to present Russia as an attractive destination for investment, bringing together leading global investors, representatives of Russian business, and the country's top political leadership for dialogue and deal-making.
The forum is positioned as a platform for direct and open conversation about the opportunities and prospects of the Russian economy.Development of a website for the investment forum. One of the most important tasks of the website is to conduct live online broadcasts of the forum, as well as to host information about the forum, news publications, the forum program, etc.
The technical task was to implement the website on our infrastructure in accordance with the Bank's security requirements.
Ensuring the fault-free operation of the website throughout the entire lifecycle of the event: from the advertising campaign to website support after the event.During the days of the forum, the number of simultaneous website users reaches several thousand. The resource experiences increased load; any failure in its operation is critical.
Media Coverage
-
Number of accredited media: Hundreds of journalists from leading Russian and international media work at the forum. Over 1,000 media representatives were accredited.
-
Media and social media mentions: The number of mentions of the forum in global media and social networks amounts to tens of thousands. The forum's hashtag, #RussiaCalling, regularly trends.
-
- Project geography
- Representatives from over 100 countries typically attend. Strong delegations traditionally come from China, India, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
