ololo city 2.0 is the integrated technology platform powering ololo’s hybrid model—the largest creative hub chain in Central Asia, spanning coworking, coliving, hostels, resort/hotel spaces, real estate, business acceleration, education, media, and events. It consolidates operations across 11 locations in 3 cities (heritage hubs, lakeside venues, IT hub) into a single ecosystem.
Core objectives:
-
Merge 8+ legacy systems (CRM, ERP, booking, IoT, comms) into one OS
-
Provide real-time financial visibility for multi-stream revenue
-
Automate workflows across diverse verticals
-
Enable multilingual operations, AI-driven automation, and IoT access management
The platform enables scalable, profitable growth, blending community, creativity, and innovation—extending ololo’s impact across Central Asia and the Global South.

- Project Results
-
1,100 users; 1,070 companies transact daily; multi-role user hierarchy; zero pilot-group churn. Consolidation of 10+ legacy tools into one; contracts→invoice(auto-posted to 1C in minutes)→payment automated, less manual work.
A/R enforcement links payment to IoT (doors, Wi-Fi, parking): 4,566 digital keys; unauthorized access eliminated.
Multi-currency bank/QR/POS accepted; daily A/R with 100% billing accuracy.
Engagement: ololoSparks validated 200+ ideas; event countdowns lift attendance; onboarding/offboarding automation.
Transparency: live P&L, occupancy, average workplace cost, A/R aging; cash-flow forecasts.
Result: revenue discipline embedded in infrastructure, the team freed for high-value work: community care, member engagement, innovation initiatives.
Single developer + AI delivers enterprise-grade digital transformation in 12 months. Traditionally, this scope requires 8–12 person development teams and other timelines, the system redefines what's possible: lean development, rapid iteration, zero bloat.
The uniqueness of the project
The uniqueness lies in its architecture—engineered for a business model with no analogues. Unlike standard ERPs, it supports multi-product, multi-owner, multi-role operations under a franchise-with-management (“manchise”) approach and a complex matrix of 10+ stakeholder roles, revenue splits, and verticals. The platform creates a unified data ecosystem: a multi-tenant control center with secure, permission-based access for every stakeholder, eliminating silos and providing a single source of real-time truth. Every action is archived for transparency. Its AI core automates the full business loop—from lead to forecast, contract, payment, and IoT-based access—while multilingual CX enables rapid, borderless expansion.
With minimal bureaucracy, continuous releases, real-time forecasts, and measurable learning, ololo city 2.0 ensures operational agility and a true sense of unity for the entire creative community—in any country.
- Used software
-
1. Server Infrastructure
The project is hosted on two dedicated servers with the following specifications:
-
Storage: SSD, 60,000 MB
-
Processor: 3 vCPUs
-
Memory: 2,560 MB RAM
-
Operating System: Ubuntu Linux
-
Network: Up to 100 Mbit/s bandwidth
This infrastructure ensures sufficient performance, stability, and scalability for handling concurrent requests, background job execution, and LLM-based computations.
2. Core Software Stack
The software platform is built on OctoberCMS, a modular and extensible content management framework based on Laravel (PHP).
The core backend technologies include:
-
PHP 8.x — main application language
-
Laravel 10 framework — backend framework providing ORM (Eloquent), routing, queue system, and API layer
-
OctoberCMS — CMS platform for modular architecture and UI layer
-
Composer — dependency management
-
MySQL / MariaDB — relational database
-
Redis — cache and queue system
3. AI and Data Processing Components
In addition to the core PHP stack, the system integrates with Python-based services for AI and machine learning tasks:
-
Python 3.x — used for data processing, analytics, and AI inference
-
LLM Models: integration with multiple Large Language Models (LLMs) for intelligent automation and natural language understanding, including:
-
OpenAI GPT-series
-
Anthropic Claude models
-
Local fine-tuned LLMs for domain-specific text generation
These models are used to automate content creation, generate smart responses, and assist with decision-making processes.
4. Auxiliary Systems and Tools
Additional software and services include:
-
Nginx — web server and reverse proxy
-
Supervisor / Horizon — background job management
-
Git / GitHub — version control and CI/CD integration
-
UFW Firewall & SSL Certificates — network and data security
-
Monitoring Tools: uptime and performance monitoring using custom dashboards and server-side analytics
-
- Difficulty of implementation
- Extraordinary complexity: integrating heterogeneous business models into single system. Technical challenges included: multi-currency financial reconciliation, real-time IoT device control, multilingual AI deployment, and complex booking logic for diverse space types. Single-developer constraint required leveraging AI coding assistants for full-stack development, database architecture, and DevOps. Geographic distribution across urban Bishkek and remote Issyk-Kul locations required robust offline capabilities. Integration challenges with legacy 1C systems, various payment gateways, and third-party booking platforms. Platform must handle seasonal demand fluctuations (Issyk-Kul summer peaks).
- Project Description
-
The system was designed to solve a challenge no standard software could: powering a creative hub network that thrives on flexibility, rapid change, and multidimensional community engagement. Our journey began running operations on 10+ fragmented systems—separate CRMs, 1C for finance, booking tools, access controls, and project management platforms. This created data silos, slow reporting (often delayed 10+ days), duplicated manual work, and frustrations for both staff and members. We initially attempted to solve our needs by integrating two separate coworking software solutions. Each effort, however, hit the same critical wall: neither platform could effectively manage a complex network or centralize data. This repeated failure confirmed a fundamental gap in the market for a solution offering unified, multi-location data management and the complete feature set we require.
We tackled this with a radically lean, in-house development strategy led by a solo full-stack engineer supported by AI coding tools. Instead of aiming for "one-size-fits-all" standardization from day one, we embraced continuous experimentation, prioritizing speed and learning by trial and error. Standards emerged organically through daily practice, not top-down dictates—mirroring the agile, entrepreneurial DNA of our hubs.
From real-world experience in workspace and coliving management, we realized the only way to achieve true operational excellence was to unify all processes—across 11 diverse locations, each with its own identity—into a single digital command center. We empowered managers with freedom to test new approaches, automate unique workflows, and adapt instantly to changing member needs. Our guiding principle: rapid rollout and integration, not months of planning.
The platform's architecture reflects this: a multi-tenant data model supporting all business units (from ololoPlanet's five floors of themed coworking, to lakeside venues and cultural hostels) with granular analytics for each site and consolidated insights for the group. Purchasers of any ololo product become community members, unlocking access to coworking, events, art, and digital services across the network.
Critical technical innovations include: Community Engine with live feedback, peer-to-peer video links, and automated onboarding; AI-powered core automating 60%+ of routine tasks; Role-based access for five distinct user types; Financial/Operational Engine with real-time P&L and auto-invoicing; Unified Booking System for desks, rooms, and events; IoT Integration linking smart locks and payment compliance; Cultural Module preserving heritage assets like shyrdaks.
The creative ecosystem benefits from transparent digital identity and archived collaborations, building collective intelligence. Radical Human-Centered Agility empowered managers to experiment freely, surfacing dozens of service innovations and new product bundles. Bi-weekly agile sprints delivered new features in days, not months. Since launch, real-time visibility reduced reporting cycles from 10+ days to instant dashboards, while automated workflows eliminated thousands of annual manual hours. ololo city 2.0 demonstrates that purpose-built, lean development outperforms generic enterprise software—creating a digital backbone for a thriving, human-centered creative economy scaling globally.
