Freedom Bank accelerates strategic decision making with Informatica
The warehouse will be used for data analytics as well as online analytics for the bank's digital ecosystem. It is expected that the use of DW will improve operational efficiency and reduce the number of errors. The new repository allows the bank not only to speed up the preparation of management and regulatory reporting, but also to more effectively manage products and services, including through the bank’s ecosystem application. All key decisions on clients, accounts and transactions are now made in real time based on online analytics.
“A modern bank cannot operate without online analytics. It helps predict changes in the market, make strategic decisions, and develop a personalized offer for each of our clients in seconds. The basis of such analytics is data from many bank systems. The key business indicators of the bank depend on how efficiently the work with data is organized,” said Daniyar Tazhedenov, Managing Director of Freedom Bank.
The technical basis of the project was made up of Informatica solutions. Informatica PowerCenter is an ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) solution that provides data integration. It includes a unified data processing interface and a set of connectors that allow you to retrieve and process the necessary data from any system in any mode. Informatica Real Time Package expands the capabilities of the integration platform and allows you to work with data in real time.
“The rapid exchange of information and data is the basis of business processes of modern large companies, and the banking sector, with its high level of digitalization, is the best example of this. Modern powerful ETL solutions allow you to speed up information retrieval by up to 60%. We are pleased to offer our clients international-class software that meets their high requirements,” says Kanat Abirov, CEO of DIS Group KZ.
Building an integration platform from scratch was the first stage of the project. The next step will be the transfer of all data marts, as well as the logic of the bank’s management and regulatory reporting, to the new data warehouse.
