Kazpost and technology: effective symbiosis

On November 24, Qazpost Demo Day 2023 was held in Astana, where the IT results of the year and digital projects of Kazpost were presented.

The event brought together over 150 representatives of the digital sphere and became one of the largest demo days in 2023. Chairman of the Board of Kazpost JSC Asel Zhanasova delivered a welcoming speech.

“We are pleased to announce changes in our company. Today Kazpost is not only newspapers and letters. The world is changing towards e-commerce . To keep up with the times, we are actively developing the IT direction to optimize and modernize our processes,” noted the head of the company.

During the event, the results of the transformation of Kazpost JSC and the QazPost Digital direction were announced. The speakers also spoke about the projects Qazpost Geo, QazPost Keruen for purchases on marketplaces in the USA and Europe, and the new QazPost Market application, which combines postal and financial services, as well as a social marketplace.

“Before our eyes, Kazpost has become a progressive company that uses innovation at all stages of its development. Advanced modern solutions became the basis for expanding the postal and financial infrastructure. To do this, they are developing fulfillment centers, opening order pickup points for popular domestic and foreign marketplaces, and expanding the network of warehouses and parcel terminals. And I am very proud of this!” said the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bagdat Musin.

The Kazpost digital office plans to continue to introduce new and improved services, including financial ones. Thanks to large-scale improvements in terms of payments, interaction with international payment systems and open banking, Kazpost has become a financial aggregator and operator of the pilot project of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Digital Tenge” , which allows non-cash payments in places with limited access to the Internet.

“We see our mission as providing good service through digital technologies and reducing the cost of customer service. To do this, we are working in several directions at once: developing IT infrastructure, fighting fraud, expanding partnerships with marketplaces, building our own eco-structure, refining financial services, optimizing architecture and restructuring processes. This approach has already allowed us to save more than 600 million tenge in the IT budget alone,” said Assem Boltazhan (Nurgalieva), CEO of the Qazpost Digital office.

The event was attended by the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bagdat Musin, Chairman of the Board of Otbasy Bank, Vice Ministers of Industry and Construction Ilyas Ospanov, Health - Beibit Yesenbaev, Justice - Bekbolat Moldabekov, Defense - Darkhan Akhdiev, director and founder W2W startup Chris Sheldrick, IT companies, partners and clients of Kazpost.
