Representatives of the ICT sector of Uzbekistan got acquainted with Huawei's 5G-Advanced network solutions at MWC in Shanghai

From June 26 to 28, 2024, the Mobile World Congress (MWC Shanghai 2024) was held in Shanghai. Huawei, a regular participant of MWC in Barcelona and Shanghai, introduced visitors to its stand to the capabilities of the commercial launch of 5G-Advanced networks , innovations for the commercial deployment of 5G-A networks, and devices with artificial intelligence (AI). A delegation from Uzbekistan led by Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Jamol Makhsudov visited the Huawei stand.

Huawei experts have demonstrated how the commercial launch of 5G-A networks and AI devices will open up opportunities for the widespread distribution of intelligent services, accelerate the digital transformation of vertical industries, influence content creation, and create prospects for the mobile industry.

After the visit to the exhibition area, a series of negotiations were held with representatives of Huawei and issues of the current development of mobile networks in Uzbekistan, as well as plans for the further implementation of the Digital Uzbekistan 2030 strategy were discussed. Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Jamol Makhsudov deeply appreciated Huawei's contribution to strengthening and developing the ICT infrastructure over 25 years in the country and emphasized the importance of further joint activities to implement advanced technologies. To this end, the parties signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at cooperation in the development of domestic coverage networks.

In addition to the delegation of government officials and telecom operators, the Huawei stand was visited by students from Uzbekistan who took part in the China Digital Exploration Tour. At the stand, the students not only learned about innovations, but also talked with Vice President for the Middle East and Central Asia Region Mr. Wang Shunli.
