Digital Week 2025: ICT solutions for accelerated development of the digital economy in the era of 5G, cloud services and AI

From April 21 to 25, 2025, Huawei held Digital Week 2025, a week-long event aimed at ICT sector professionals. More than 400 participants visited the company's innovation center (showroom) and got acquainted with advanced technological solutions for the digitalization of various sectors of the economy and industries. During the visit to the exhibition hall, event participants were able to get acquainted with ICT industry trends and the use of AI, as well as with product solutions that were first presented by the company at the Mobile World Congress (MWС2025) in March this year in Barcelona, Spain.

Among the first participants of the event were specialists from Uzbek telecom operators, in cooperation with whom Huawei has been developing the country's ICT infrastructure for over 25 years. The company's representatives shared their vision and innovative solutions for the development of mobile and fixed communications in the era of 5G and Artificial Intelligence.

A specially built conference hall also hosted discussions for guests on the topic of transforming the business of telecom operators - from the traditional provision of communications services to subscribers to the creation of digital products to improve their user experience in the era of 5G, AI and cloud services.

Representatives of government organizations and the corporate segment were presented with illustrative global examples of digital transformation of various sectors of the economy and services for the population. For example, the possibilities of digital transformation of the transport sector were demonstrated, ranging from intelligent management of urban traffic to the modernization of airport infrastructure; the mining industry, the banking sector; healthcare and education, as well as retail.

Considering that digital transformation is currently not possible without reliable cloud infrastructure, data storage and processing systems, the participants of Digital Week were shown advanced solutions for launching data centers of various capacities. Also, the company's speakers paid special attention to the development of digital energy and alternative energy technologies, noting the constant investments in the development of energy-saving technologies.

A separate session was organized for representatives of the media of Uzbekistan. During the tour, journalists were able to learn what technologies contribute to the acceleration of digital development, including the digitalization of the media sphere. Huawei ICT infrastructure expert in Uzbekistan, Reshat Boltayev, gave a presentation on the topic "Digital solutions for the media", revealing technological trends in the development of the media industry, such as broadcasting content in high definition (4K), using cloud services, augmented reality, virtual presenters, using AI in analytics and data processing, creating 3D content. The expert spoke about the Huawei MetaStudio solution based on cloud technologies, which involves the use of a media studio with elements of visual and voice modeling, video creation, editing, rendering and streaming to prepare interesting content that can not only increase audience reach, but also monetize the implemented innovative solutions.

Huawei has been operating in Uzbekistan for over 25 years. Huawei 's showroom in Uzbekistan was opened in 2016 as an integration innovation center for presenting advanced technologies and solutions to customers and partners, as well as for conducting educational tours for students of universities and schools. In 2024, Huawei Experience Store was opened in the company's office in Tashkent , which became a continuation of the showroom concept and provided users with the opportunity to keep abreast of Huawei's latest developments in the field of smart devices. On April 1, 2025, the opening ceremony of two more Huawei brand zones in the service centers of the mobile operator Mobiuz was held in Tashkent and Samarkand .
