The Ministry of Digital Development, together with large IT companies, is discussing the possibility of creating a material compensation fund for victims of database leaks. The fund will be funded from funds received from data breach fines. Now the ministry is working on the creation of a compensation mechanism. It is necessary to determine how the volume will be calculated, under what conditions it will be possible to claim payments, and other details.
The Rostec State Corporation announced the formation of a specialized competence center that will help in the creation of digital products with increased resistance to cyber attacks. The structure was named the Technology Center for Secure Software Development (SW). The RT-Project Technologies holding of Rostec, the Diasoft group of companies and the Institute for System Programming of the Russian Academy of Sciences took part in its creation.
