International Data Corporation (IDC) has published the results of a study of the global artificial intelligence (AI) market.
Costs in this area continue to grow rapidly: in 2021, the result was $383.3 billion, which is 20.7% more than the previous year. In 2022, according to analysts, the costs could reach almost $450 billion. The largest segment of the global AI industry is software. IDC identifies four main categories: delivery and deployment of applications and, in fact, applications and software for AI system infrastructures and AI platforms.
In 2021, these products brought in more than $340 billion in total; and almost half of this amount came from I-applications. The AI platform sector recorded an increase of 36.6%.
