Two technological marathons on industrial digitalization will be held in Almaty at once
The Technological marathon is a unique product of the foundation, which has been held since 2022 to address issues of digital transformation in the mining and metallurgical complex, the oil and gas sector and energy. Representatives of the industrial sector, IT companies and the scientific community, as well as experts and industry media gather on one platform to discuss tasks and proposed solutions, to exchange knowledge and experience.
Tasks for Mining Day 2.0 and Oil marathons& Gas Day is already available on the Smart Industry Management Platform (SIMP). These are four tasks totaling 800 million tenge from large enterprises-subsoil users in the fields of extraction and processing of hydrocarbons and solid minerals. IT companies with experience in implementing digital technologies at industrial enterprises can take part in them. The application can be submitted on the website.
Tasks for which applications are open:
— Mining Day 2.0: Development of technology for the production of iron ore concentrates by dry methods.
— Mining Day 2.0: Development of a comprehensive solution for digitalization of a coal deposit.
— Oil& Gas Day: Updating of hydrodynamic models and implementation of a digital model at the field for further scaling of methods for increasing oil recovery of hard-to-recover reserves.
— Oil& Gas Day: Updating of hydrodynamic models, study of reservoir rocks and fluid seals by tracer and geochemical (oil fingerprinting) research methods, introduction of a digital model of the field.
The purpose of the marathons is to demonstrate advanced domestic developments in the digitalization of industry (Industry 4.0). Additional needs will also be identified, which significantly increases the chances of a more effective and focused study of tasks.
Technological marathons are organized by the Autonomous Cluster Fund "Park of Innovative Technologies", acting under the brand Tech Garden, which was established by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2015. The main task of the fund is to create mechanisms and provide opportunities for subsoil users to fulfill their obligations to finance R&D.
