The uniqueness of the project
- Used software
- As a part of RAIma implementation, we have integrated all our internal enterprise systems with the data and built AI solutions using Azue Open AI and Microsoft AI Foundry. Some of the systems that integrate the data with RAIma are, SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, SAP Concur, RippleHire, Boomi, SkillPrism and many in-house built custom apps.
- Difficulty of implementation
-
Implementing RAIMA, LTIMindtree’s AI-powered HR companion, presents a multifaceted challenge rooted in both technical complexity and organizational transformation. One of the primary hurdles lies in integrating RAIMA across fragmented HR systems and workflows. Legacy platforms often lack interoperability, making it difficult to unify data sources such as skills, workload, and attrition signals into a single agent ecosystem. Additionally, RAIMA’s deployment demands robust governance frameworks to manage privacy, ethics, and compliance, especially when scaling across geographies and business units. The AI-driven personalization of goal setting, feedback nudges, and performance tracking—while transformative—requires recalibration of existing appraisal models and significant change management efforts.
Operationally, RAIMA’s rollout has faced issues such as inconsistent bot responses, latency, and user experience degradation due to environmental factors like background noise and network instability. These inconsistencies complicate testing and validation cycles, especially when serving a diverse user base of over 86,000 employees. Moreover, transitioning RAIMA features to platforms like Copilot Studio introduces architectural challenges, requiring replatforming, API redesign, and stakeholder alignment across multiple tracks. The need for real-time analytics, voice enablement, and cross-agent coordination further amplifies the complexity, demanding continuous iteration, defect tracking, and infrastructure scaling. Despite these challenges, RAIMA remains central to LTIMindtree’s vision of a proactive, intelligent HR experience, but its success hinges on sustained collaboration, agile solutioning, and rigorous governance.
- Project Description
-
RAIma is an AI-powered HR companion embedded across the employee journey—from hire to retire. Designed to make HR smarter, faster, and more human-centric, RAIma transforms traditional processes into seamless, insight-driven experiences.
Talent Acquisition
RAIma streamlines both lateral and campus hiring by integrating with recruiting systems. It automatically generates job descriptions, manages candidate outreach, and responds to queries. Interviews are conducted using the Berribot Mastermind tool, ensuring consistency and fairness in assessments.
Once a candidate is selected, RAIma initiates onboarding workflows such as scheduling orientation sessions and assigning buddies. For campus hires, it coordinates document verification and interview scheduling via internal platforms, creating a smooth experience for first-time job seekers.
Onboarding
RAIma delivers a personalized onboarding experience through avatar-based induction, buddy matchmaking, and sentiment checks. It wraps up the onboarding journey with feedback surveys, ensuring new employees feel welcomed and supported from day one.
Learning & Development
RAIma recommends training programs tailored not only to current job roles but also to future career growth. It integrates AI-driven suggestions into learning paths and promotes participation in hackathons, mentorship programs, and GenAI literacy modules. As a result, 90% of associates are trained in GenAI, building strong foundational skills across the workforce.
Performance Management
During performance review cycles, RAIma supports goal-setting by recommending objectives aligned with an employee’s job family and past performance. Throughout the year, it sends nudges to encourage ongoing feedback, transforming performance management into a continuous process. This approach has led to a 60% improvement in goal-setting effectiveness.
Employee Engagement & Retention
RAIma provides 24/7 support, enabling employees to get immediate answers to HR-related queries. Whether applying for leave, checking benefits, or updating personal information, employees can interact with RAIma through simple conversations, reducing wait times and improving satisfaction.
In its first quarter, RAIma successfully handled around 97,000 prompts—13% transactional and 86% FAQ-related—demonstrating strong adoption for policy guidance and everyday HR support. It has achieved a 75% satisfaction thumbs-up rate, reflecting its impact on employee experience.
Proactive Engagement
RAIma regularly checks in with employees through pulse surveys and one-on-one chats. It analyzes feedback and tone to detect signs of low morale, flagging concerns to HR teams for early intervention. These AI-driven insights strengthen retention strategies by addressing issues before they escalate.
